Thank you for looking at my work.

Life is a series of moments, whether monumental or minuscule, created by each of us interacting with other people. As a photographer, I aspire to capture these wholly human moments for my clients.  I want to help tell your story through genuine, creative photographs.  I sincerely love what I do and the clients I come to know as friends.  My process is candid and comfortable.  My husband David photographs weddings with me, while our three wonderfully ornery girls inspire us to look at every day happenings in new ways.

Leave me a note on the ‘details’ page if you are interested in creating a session, or meeting in person to share what you envision for your wedding photography.  Below, I’ve answered a few basic questions.

What do you mean by “natural light photography”?

Photographs are made by recording reflected light.  When I say I am a natural light photographer, I mean that I believe the sun’s light to be the most ideal and beautiful for framing the images of your story.  It’s not a limiting factor, but simply a style preference.

I don’t know what to do or how to pose – won’t it be awkward?

My approach to all my work is low-key, relaxed and candid – I will give you all the direction you need.

Is there a complicated process for printing my photographs?  And who owns them anyways?

Simple and straightforward is best when it comes to printing and copyrights.  I provide a print release and a high-resolution disc with all sessions, so you can view and print your pictures at your discretion.  I will recommend a professional printing company to ensure you receive high quality prints.  In trusting the client with this freedom, I do request that images not be altered in any way, as they are a direct reflection of my work.
